Neal Aronowitz Design

Neal Aronowitz is a self-taught sculptor who finds inspiration in the natural world and the dynamic forms within it. After years of running Neal Aronowitz Stone & Tile, a successful stone and interiors business in New York City and Portland, he launched an art and design studio that focuses on hand-crafted bespoke furniture and lighting. The work of the studio continues with a passion for daring forms, material experimentation, and simple beauty. Aronowitz's designs blur the lines between art and furniture, with pieces that feature unique and surprising shapes and silhouettes. Originally from Brooklyn, Aronowitz studied art and architecture at the City University of New York before moving on to study sculpture and photography at Massachusetts College of Art. Central to his education was his self-guided explorations in metalwork, glassmaking, and multimedia sculpture.

Boro Boro Chandelier

The Boro Boro Chandelier is designed to be constructed solely of glass, except for the stainless steel cable suspension and base and Xenon bulbs and sockets. The form and placement of these minimally cold-worked, frosted borosilicate tubes and rods of varying diameters and lengths express an explosion of force while gently diffusing and guiding the radiating luminous glow of light out from the center.
