Amant Christens New Brooklyn Campus With a Celebratory Cocktail

On June 3, key players within New York’s creative sphere toasted the newly opened Amant Foundation in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The private art campus’s founder and CEO Lonti Ebers joined artistic director Ruth Estévez to introduce the inaugural exhibition—“Heroines, Birds and Monsters,” the highly anticipated United States debut of the Berlin-based artist and theorist Grada Kilomba—at the new building designed by SO-IL. Guests enjoyed a sneak peek at the exhibition and flaunted yellow umbrellas to combat the evening drizzle, which didn’t dampen the celebratory mood. Attendees included David Zwirner, Kate Fowle, Rashid Johnson, Florian Idenburg, and more. Photos by Nina Westervelt/Amant.
