Rather than follow a typical guest-designer format, the brand will feature long-term collaborations with individual creators, each contributing distinct concepts and aesthetics. Ninomiya’s opening collection draws from the community around DSM and offers pared-down, accessible pieces aimed at a broader audience.

Five anonymous design proposals have been shortlisted for Helsinki’s new Museum of Architecture and Design, marking the final phase of an international competition to design the waterfront institution. Each anonymous entry—City, Sky & Sea; Kumma; Moby; Tau; and Tyrsky—responds to sustainability goals, public feedback, and a mandate for flexibility and inclusivity. The winning design will be announced in September, with construction set to support Helsinki’s 2030 carbon neutrality target.
Jony Ive has been named a trustee of the British Museum.
Fresh off of his $6.5 billion deal with OpenAI, Jony Ive has joined the British Museum’s board of trustees, where he will advise on the institution’s design and tech-forward gallery transformation. His appointment comes as the museum pursues an ambitious overhaul under the leadership of chair George Osborne, who praised Ive’s unique ability to merge design with emerging technologies.
More than 100 global architects, designers, and creatives will participate in the Chicago Architecture Biennial.
The 2025 Chicago Architecture Biennial, titled SHIFT: Architecture in Times of Radical Change, will feature work from more than 100 architects, designers, and creatives from around the world. Running from September through February, the event marks the Biennial’s tenth anniversary and will include exhibitions, installations, and site-specific programs across the city.
