Opening Shot: From Firemen to Burning Men, Habitas Opens a Members Club in an Old New York Firehouse

After opening a hotel in Tulum and a clubhouse in Venice Beach, the roving experiential members community sets its sights on Manhattan.

On offer: Amenities inside the retrofitted 1895 firehouse include seasonal grab-and-go snacks such as chia puddings and grain bowls courtesy of Fat Radish alum Jared Dowling, a communal space outfitted with tufted velvet sofas and a 1955 Steinway Upright Studio Piano, meditation rooms, and a fire pit in the outdoor courtyard.

Standout features: An original 1929 FDNY emergency call box, contemporary works by Chinese artist Liu Bolin, and a state-of-the-art recording studio housed in the former firehouse stables.
