The French maison enlisted 200 visionaries—spanning the likes of Gaetano Pesce, Gloria Steinem, Edward Granger, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Alex Israel, and Peter Marino—to envision their own homage of the classic Louis Vuitton trunk in celebration of its eponymous founder’s bicentennial. The traveling exhibition now heads from Singapore to Beverly Hills, where a fanciful Rodeo Drive building adorned in orange stripes echoes an early trunk motif and displays each creation inside with exclusive rooms dedicated to Frank Gehry and the Brooklyn Balloon Company by Robert May.
