Established in 1586 in the forest of Moselle, France, Saint-Louis escapes the ephemeral with more than 430 years of mouth-blown and handmade creations, ranging from tableware and decoration to lighting and beyond.
Surface Says
One of France’s most venerated crystal manufacturers, Saint-Louis skillfully reconciles 19th-century artisan know-how with contemporary style. Some of our favorite designers—Paola Navone, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Kiki van Eijk—have created unforgettable pieces for the company.
Folia lighting
All pieces in the cross-disciplinary Folia collection echo the forest
surrounding the Saint-Louis manufacture. It was there that Noé
Duchaufour-Lawrance found his inspiration and decided to combine
the radiance of crystal with the strength of ash wood.
Created in 1928, the iconic Tommy collection features a star shaped
base with its parison adorned with diamond, bevel, pearl, and rim cuts.
Its straight lines have afforded elegance to the tables of the most
official ceremonies, all the way to the Galerie des Glaces in Versailles.
Pierre Charpin and Saint-Louis meet again to launch Cadence, a cross-
category collection of 29 pieces, all in clear crystal and rhythmed by
the meeting of horizontal and vertical cuts. The drawing of lines is an
interpretation of Saint-Louis Artisans gestural vocabulary which is
repeated and passed down from one generation to the next: a
synchronized choreography of the crystal blowers in the hot workshop;
variations of a crystal cutting grammar in the cold workshop.
The first chandeliers appeared at Saint-Louis in the mid-19th century.
Since, Saint-Louis is constantly revisiting its classics and Royal is no
exception: In 2018, a rebellious breeze has wafted over the noble
chapters of its history. Royal is giving itself over to a deconstructed and
creative choreography with new objects, lamps, boxed, vases...
