The Art Production Fund Gala’s Long-Awaited Return

On April 5, Art Production Fund (APF) held its 11th annual gala at The Pool + The Grill at the Seagram Building in New York in support of the organization’s mission to stage ambitious public art projects. More than 300 notables from New York’s creative sphere joined to honor artist Sanford Biggers, whom APF commissioned to create a 25-foot-tall bronze sculpture at Rockefeller Center this past summer. Guests enjoyed cocktails, martinis, and Ruinart champagne at The Grill, which preceded a dinner curated by Sarah Hoover and an unforgettable performance by Biggers’s multimedia concept band Moon Medicin. A live auction, supported by UOVO, saw works by Derrick Adams, LaKela Brown, and Hiba Schahbaz raise more than $700,000 in support of APF.
