Celebrating Carl Craig’s Vinyl Release with Nazy Nazhand and Dia Art Foundation

On Sept. 13, an intimate group gathered at The Clocktower at The New York EDITION to celebrate Carl Craig’s vinyl release with Dia Art Foundation and Nazy Nazhand. The acclaimed Detroit-based techno DJ debuted “Party/After-Party” at Dia Beacon in 2020—his first commission for an art institution. The large-scale sound work now lives on beyond Dia’s walls thanks to a set of two newly pressed vinyl LPs. The occasion kicked off with an exclusive listening party and LP signing event at Dia Chelsea before guests headed to The New York EDITION, where art consultant Nazy Nazhand—who has supported Craig for years—hosted an intimate dinner toasting his success. Notable attendees include Andrea Franchini, Camille Norment, Casey Fremont, Lee Quinones, and more. Photos by Brendon Cook/BFA.
