Creative Time and Rashid Johnson Raise a Glass for “Red Stage”

On June 30, Creative Time and Rashid Johnson celebrated the artist’s latest public art project, “Red Stage,” with an intimate dinner at Acme in NoHo. The dinner followed a lively dance and drumline performance by Marching Cobras at “Red Stage,” the artist’s participatory steel sculpture that celebrates the vibrancy and creativity found in New York’s public spaces as the city awakens from the pandemic. At dinner hosted by Creative Time, Molly Gochman, and Jon Neidich, guests escaped the sweltering New York heat, dined on a specially curated menu by Acme, and sipped tequila cocktails by Casa Dragones in the bistro’s relaxed, convivial atmosphere. Attendees include Justine Ludwig, Ryan McGinley, Pamela Council, and Wes Gordon, among others. Photos by Mike Vitelli/BFA.
