DESIGNER OF THE DAY

Designer of the Day: Enis Karavil

With an approach that seems to effortlessly bring out maximalist expressions in minimalist details, Enis Karavil balances fantasy and reality in everything he works on for Sanayi313, the multidisciplinary design firm he founded with his brother, Amir, in Istanbul. Recent projects prove his approach succeeds at any scale, from the Turkish pastry shop Cafe Di Dolce inspired by the theatricality of grand Parisian cafes to a newly expanded furniture line that includes monolithic pedestal tables and hand-crafted ceramic cups.
