Grace Wales Bonner’s first womenswear collection nods to Moneta Sleet Jr., Ebony, and Jet magazines.

For her debut womenswear collection, Selah, Grace Wales Bonner channeled Ebony and Jet magazine nostalgia through fringe dresses in rich satins and cashmeres. The collection also drew inspiration from Moneta Sleet Jr.’s photography from Theaster Gates’ “The Black Image Corporation” exhibition. Rich textures, in the form of Mongolian shearling-lined leather jackets and Japanese canvas denim, define the collection.

The government may use the Department of Housing and Urban Development to trial crypto.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is considering a plan to integrate blockchain technology and stablecoins into its grant-tracking system, a move some officials see as a potential gateway to wider cryptocurrency adoption in federal spending. While proponents argue blockchain could enhance transparency, critics warn it could introduce financial volatility, inefficiency, and security risks, particularly if grant recipients are paid in crypto. The proposal, reportedly pushed by a top HUD financial officer with ties to consulting firm EY, aligns with the Trump administration’s broader embrace of cryptocurrency, raising concerns about its potential impact on housing aid and mortgage markets.

A Coperni collaboration gives Meta and Ray-Ban’s smart glasses a gaming-forward glow-up.

Coperni’s transparent black Wayfarer design, a collaboration with Meta and Ray-Ban, debuted at Paris Fashion Week—the result of a years-long conversation between the brands. The collection launched today, limited to only 3,600 pairs, which are retailing for $549. The fashionable frames sport all of the same features powering the success of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, including the recently launched ability to search and play songs on Spotify, or activate Shazam.

Jil Sander appoints former Bally design director Simone Bellotti as its new creative director.

Simone Bellotti has been named creative director of Jil Sander, succeeding Luke and Lucie Meier after their seven-year tenure at the German label. Bellotti previously led Bally’s creative direction and spent 16 years shaping Gucci’s aesthetic under Frida Giannini and Alessandro Michele. His appointment signals a strategic move by OTB Group to reinforce Jil Sander’s legacy of sleek minimalism while infusing it with fresh perspective.
