Emeco was founded in 1944 in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Emeco make chairs, in America. Often by hand. Mostly from recycled stuff. But always to last.
Surface Says
Emeco fuses an all-American ethos with an eco-friendly design sensibility. Its well-edited collection comprises practical, beautifully executed pieces by a select few, including Jasper Morrison, Nendo, and Industrial Facility.
1006 Navy Chair
First built for use on submarines in 1944, the Navy Chair has been in production ever since. Made out of recycled aluminum, guaranteed to last a life time.
Coca-Cola and Emeco worked to solve an environmental problem: Up-cycling consumer waste into a sustainable, timeless chair, made of 111 recycled PET bottles.
Each stool is made of 150 recycled PET bottles. Like the original 111 Navy chair, these one-piece stools made to stand up to heavy use, and made in the USA.
Jasper Morrison tapped into Emeco’s heritage in hand crafting a frame in recycled aluminum combined with other materials thus creating a collection that is strong, simple, timeless, and engineered to last.
The Alfi Collection is made of reclaimed and responsibly selected materials, engineered for comfort and strength, and designed to be humble and timeless.
