Neil Logan

Whether working on a renovation, addition, or new construction, my architectural approach is to look for something inherent in the place, a genius loci. With this in mind, I seek to conjure the appearance of, in Mies [van der Rohe]'s words, "beinahe nights"—almost nothing, letting an essence reveal itself. The goal being to leave the space for the occupant to enjoy what has been made without the feeling of encumbrance or an imposed design.
Neil Logan established his eponymous architecture firm—which executes both residential and commercial projects—in 1992. His structures are a master class in sleek, clean lines and repurposing old spaces; look to his much-talked-about Supreme Store Brooklyn as a shining example.
