The 2021 Parsons Benefit Uplifts Tomorrow’s Creative Entrepreneurs

On June 15, the New School celebrated Parsons School of Design’s 125th anniversary with the 2021 Parsons Benefit, a star-studded gala at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York’s Seaport District. Programming for the evening included award presentations, musical performances, a seated benefit dinner, and a special showcase of Parsons student designs. Event proceeds will support scholarships that enable the next generation of Parsons creative entrepreneurs to pursue studies in art, design, liberal arts, music, technology, and social innovation. This year’s honorees—Kerby Jean-Raymond, Carrie Mae Weems, Gabriela Hearst, and Travis Scott among them—were also celebrated for championing design, retail, entrepreneurship, the arts, sustainability, and social justice, as well as a commitment to carving out new opportunities for artists and designers of tomorrow.
