Art for Change Artists Launch a New Series of Prints at the Rockaway Hotel

The artists, whose prints are now included in the hotel's contemporary art collection and available for purchase through Art for Change, were fêted at a rooftop cocktail party.

On July 12, Art for Change and the Rockaway Hotel hosted a cocktail party to honor artists Erik Parker, Alissa McKendrick, Alessandro Teoldi, and Hiba Schahbaz. The hotel, which has been known for its standout fine art program since it first opened in 2020, has since merged its patrons’ interest in the arts with initiatives focused on giving back to the community. The party celebrated the artists’ newest series of limited edition prints, which were commissioned by Art for Change and the hotel to support the water safety education initiatives of local non-profit Rising Tide Effect.

Party guests congratulated the artists and took in the rooftop’s legendary views over spicy cucumber watermelon margaritas (known as the Sharkbite, if you happen to find yourself in the neighborhood). Notables in attendance included: Harrison Tenzer, Kate Bock, Michi Jigarjian, Jeanne Masel, Elissa Levy, and Erika Umali.
