On Friday, Dec. 7, Surface hosted The Party Vol. 3, a night of dancing and festivities to celebrate this year’s Miami Art Week, and Surface’s Art Issue featuring the Guerrilla Girls. The event took place at Shore Club South Beach—serving as the debut of the hotel’s newly reopened Red Room—and welcomed some 500 guests from the art and design community, who were escorted to and from the event by Lyft. Guests included architect Rene Gonzalez, artist Hank Willis Thomas, hoteliers Carla and Antonio Sersale (of Le Sirenuse), photographers Douglas Friedman and Laurent Elie Badessi, and entertainment industry notables Ally Hilfiger and Clark Sabbat. They enjoyed craft cocktails over banter about the week’s best exhibitors and shows, and danced to a DJ set by the always-awesome Mia Moretti until a little after 3 a.m.
