ARIAS New York's Spring/Summer 2026 Collection Dinner with Surface

In the wood-clad private dining room of chef Flynn McGarry’s new Hudson Square restaurant, Cove, Nina Sarin Arias (founder of ARIAS New York) and David Graver (editor-in-chief of Surface) welcomed an inspiring cultural cohort for conversation, cocktails, and a multi-course escapade. In celebration of ARIAS’ Spring/Summer 2026 collection and the label’s collaboration with artist Amy Feldman, the culinary journey included thin slices of tuna with rhubarb wasabi and beets, as well as pea shoot salad with gouda and leeks, all before black cod with nettle sauce. Flower arrangements paired to the room's own floral painting, and the dinner was accompanied by a signature Surface cocktail composed of argicole pisco-style brandy, cardamom and cinnamon syrup (produced in-house), blue curacao, oroblanco grapefruit, and lime. Throughout, the dialogue continued to return to the interwoven spirit of art and fashion.

Presented by Half Gallery, viewable by appointment only, the exhibition—and this work in particular—depicts gravitational moments of pause.

Designer of the Day: Rachael Gowdridge

Interior designer Rachael Gowdridge established her eponymous practice in 2021, following extensive experience at David Collins Studio, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and Ennismore International. For her London–based studio, custom contemporary pieces align with art, antiques, and heritage craft. This is evidenced by her work on a recently opened addition to Berlin’s hospitality scene, The Dean. Here, Gowdridge derived layered beauty from contrast.
